I have lived in Humboldt County my whole life. I was elected to office in 2002 and began my first term in January, 2003. I will retire at the end of 2010. My youngest son, Eric, graduated from Chico State in May (2008) and is back in Eureka for the time being coaching Legion Baseball and working part time. Two of my other sons (Jason and Nick) live in Eureka as well. My fourth son, Ryan, lives in Phoenix. I have been traveling more the last few years. So far I have made it to the British Isles, the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska. I will going on a Scenic Parks Explorer tour just before the reunion. This takes me to numerous National Parks and Monuments. I still drag race about 10 times a year and have acquired a couple of sports cars for driving enjoyment. My health is good and I look forward to less work, more travel and relaxation. |

| It was a breeze and here I thought it would be frought with obstacles and difficult times.

| Retire, travel, read and enjoy my children and grandchildren. |
