My husband Veryl and I have worked, reared our two daughters, Lisa and Alice, and now our two eldest grandchildren, (from birth), Jonathan and Rachel. Veryl worked as an optician and I have been with Eureka City Schools for 28 years. Our life style has always been simple, filled with devotion to family and all the activities that family entails. Veryl lost his life last year and I am now trying to figure out where I go from here. I am sad that we are all getting older. Just as we begin to understand part of what this life is all about, we have to start preparing to accept that life will not continue much longer. I wish you all great happiness for our remaining years. |

| How was adult life different than what you expecte? |

| I grew up thinking that I would become a wife, stay at home mother, and have the white picket fence. I was a wife, I am a mother and a grandmother; but I never got to stay at home and I have yet to get the white picket fence. I've always worked. I've spent my adult life being the eldest living member of my immediate family and now the matriarch of my crew. Heavy role. |

| Plans or goals for the next 5~10 years? |

I seriusly don't have any plans. My life just had a drastic change, with my husband's death.......I do know that I have to keep working. My two eldest grandchildren are still living with me, working and attending college.

God's blessings to each of you if I don't attend the 45th reunion and spend time with you. I did attend the 10th reunion and it was great. To the committee planning this event, a sincere thank you for your time and effort.
