Graduated from Humboldt in 1968 with English major/Business Ed. minor and secondary teaching credential. Taught for awhile in Eureka, then moved to SoCal (swore I never would) and am still here. I've been working with The Arc (formerly The Association for Retarded Citizens) for nearly 20 years.

From my first marriage I have a terrific son who is now a UCLA alumnus (thank God for small favors). I remarried in 1994, and we now live in Downey California with our 3 cats.

Let's see, in the last 40 years...well, I'm relearning how to sew since 40+ years have gone by since Home Ec...I've hiked most of the John Muir Trail...wrote a newspaper column...been to Europe twice...cultivated (hehe) a love of growing roses and plumeria ...taken up the position of family genealogist...been active in the local Rotary club... I guess just been enjoying myself between the "lumps and bumps" as someone put it.
How was adult life different than what you expecte?
I thought I would feel old.

Plans or goals for the next 5~10 years?
Oh, you mean aside from winning the lottery?? Well, just continue doing things that bring me pleasure and enjoying my friends and family.
