Past40yrs: so much to do, so little time . . . recently retired from fast paced Corporate Executive VP of Operations for a large Semi Conductor Industry Equipment Manufacturer based in Portland OR. Combined an exciting business career with raising a family; pretty tough at times, but all worth it !

My family moved from Eureka to Portland after completion of my sophomore year . Big change from small town birthplace to big city. I have good thoughts, great memories about Eureka and all those I grew up with.

We have now retired to our beach home on the Southern Oregon Coast, in Bandon, Oregon. We visited the beach all the time for vacations and quick get aways; and now I'm finally back in the coastal community/environment that I love so much. This is the best place.

Things are much slower paced these days; enjoying gardening, gourmet cooking, painting and volunteer work for church and community - a little traveling.
How was adult life different than what you expecte?
I always thought I would be an artist or dancer; never dreamed I would be swept up into the Corporate world of big business, traveling all across the nation and abroad. What a Ride !
